My life right now is incredibly busy. I think I get bogged down by having such a jam-packed schedule and long list of things to do. Especially with a week like I have ahead of me this week, I have no other option than to be on my A-game. I always equated being busy with, in turn, being productive, but I do not think that is the absolute case. I am beginning to see a divide between them and finding that perfect balance is essential. It seems like I have blinked, and months have passed in no time. My days and weeks have blurred together, and there have been many times when I have no clue how things got done on time. In my business, I have lost a sense of efficient productivity. When a mountain of work is staring me down, it is easy to get overwhelmed. It is sometimes easier to walk away from it all and take a break, but that only pushes off the inevitable and induces a panic later on in the day. This chapter of life seems to be run by deadlines and surviving from one week to the next. It often does not feel like there is enough time to get everything done, but in the haze of the crazy and demanding schedules, making a way of being productive will help everything fall into place. Right when I thought I was a master planner and ready to take on whatever life threw at me, reality knocked me down a few pegs to learn a new lesson. Just because I am always busy, does not mean I have always been productive. This week, I am going to make it a priority to do everything with purpose and let productivity prevail beyond being busy.
